Hands-On Thinking Activities-Centers Through the Year, Grades 3-6, tells you everything you need to create a wide variety of activity centers that build critical thinking skills . Activities include math concepts, science concepts, and language topics.

Each center contains:

• a teacher page
• a materials list
• a description of the task, the skills practiced, and the steps to follow
• record forms and reproducible forms that students complete at the center

Centers can be set up as a series of individual activities done over a period of time during an appropriate season or, as a one-day "carnival," where students spend two to four hours touring several season-related centers.
